Uganda Hands for Hope is a non-profit organisation working with the residents of Kampala's informal urban settlements. We pride ourselves on having a close working relationship with our beneficiaries and for our "hands-on" approach to our work. We assist the most vulnerable by providing opportunities to acquire the necessary skills to help themselves and their community, focusing mainly on the needs of local women and children.

Features Box

So much of what Uganda Hands for Hope does relies on our fabulous staff.  From our nursery teachers to our Community Outreach Team to our long- and short-term volunteers, our programmes would not be possible without them!

Uganda Hands for Hope provides the resources to ensure that its beneficiaries' are involved in designing their own poverty intervention. This is something that would have been very difficult for them to achieve under their current circumstances.

Child Sponsorship Programme

Child Sponsorship Programme

In Uganda, education is not free. On top of school fees, families must pay for transport for the child to and from school, uniforms, books and more. Nearly 200 children are sponsored to go to school through Uganda Hands for Hope.
