Jackie's Story

Jackie and her daughters, Cathy and Angel, have spent their whole life in the Namuwongo slum. Since her husband passed away, Jackie struggles to make ends meet and often must rely on the generosity of others for assistance. The family's home is subject to flooding leaving them susceptible to sickness, and damaging their few belongings.

Donors through Uganda Hands for Hope were able to provide the family with a safer and drier place to live. Both Angel (since Apr 2008) and Cathy (since Jan 2009) attend school through our Child Sponsorship Programme.
