CWAS

Child Welfare Adoption Society

Located in rural Mpigi district, CWAS look after around 60 orphaned or abandoned children who are 6 years of age or older. On the premises they have a dormitory and school where they children stay and are educated. CWAS seeks to connect these children with their relatives so that their relatives will either adopt or take-in as foster children. They feel this will be better for the child as they would be with relatives, in their own culture, in a household, in their own village. Uganda Hands for Hope assisted CWAS with supplying mattresses, bed sheets, and blankets for the children that stay there.
